Celebrating 25 Years with Family Farmers

Pipestone Vet-786625 years ago, Pipestone Management signed the first contract with their first managed sow barn, Hiawatha, located just northwest of Pipestone, Minnesota.  We started with 36 shareholders and the Hiawatha sow barn held 600 sows.  Today, Pipestone Management has over 450 shareholders, manages 50 sow barns across the Midwestern states, and represents over 200,000 sows and 6,000,000 pigs annually.  However, the best measurement is not in numbers of barns or animals, but in the individual stories of system shareholders.    The Pipestone Management’s mission then and now has always been Helping the Farmers of Today Create the Farms of Tomorrow – and we couldn’t be more happy to have watched that play out over and over again with our shareholders.  We’ve enjoyed sharing the stories of the humble yet progressive family farmers we have worked with throughout the years.  Here are some of the stories we’ve had an opportunity to share:

Dave and Brenda Hamm – Leota, MN

Joel and Clint Overskei – Nunda, SD

Ben and Amy Reck – Winthrop, IA

Braun Farms – LeSueur, MN

Gary and Justin Wedewer – New Vienna, IA
