Dr. AJ Smit

Dr. AJ Smit, raised in Orange City, Iowa, has always had a passion for livestock and farm life. He completed his undergraduate degree at Northwestern College in 2004 and worked in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc. for three years before returning to veterinary school. Dr. Smit graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011, practiced mixed animal veterinary care at Sioux Center Veterinary Clinic from 2011 to 2013, and is now a veterinarian and partner at Pipestone Veterinary Services of Orange City, specializing in production animal medicine. He is married and a proud father of seven children.
