Team Members Exemplify Caring

At Pipestone, we live and breathe our core values: Integrity, Caring, Commitment, Growth, and Teamwork. We’re taking a closer look at each value, exploring what they mean to us and how they shape our organization. Our values are the foundation of who we are and how we work together. Join us as we recognize our team members who exemplify these values.

Bri: Exemplifying Caring
Payroll Manager

Bri Borman exemplifies what it means to care by leading with empathy and genuine compassion. Whether she’s supporting a teammate through a stressful work situation or offering encouragement during personal challenges, Bri consistently shows up with a steady presence and an open heart.

She has a natural ability to listen without judgment and help others navigate difficult moments with clarity and optimism. Bri’s calm demeanor helps ground those around her, especially during times of uncertainty. “Bri has an incredible way of making people feel supported and understood, especially during stressful times,” shared Nicole Paulsen, VP of Human Resources. “Her calm presence and encouragement help bring clarity and confidence when it’s needed most.”

More recently, Bri played a key role in supporting her team through a challenging transition, helping calm emotions and maintain focus. Her willingness to step in, communicate openly, and offer reassurance made a meaningful difference. Bri’s compassion, patience, and consistency remind us that caring is about being present and looking out for one another every day.

Thank you, Bri, for leading with empathy and creating a supportive environment where people truly feel cared for.

Bill: Exemplifying Caring
Veterinary Physician Assistant

Bill Steenstra embodies the true spirit of caring through his unwavering dedication to people, pigs, and Pipestone. He consistently goes above and beyond, not because it’s expected, but because he genuinely cares about doing what’s right.

Whether he’s answering panicked calls at all hours, spending countless hours in barns educating farmers, or jumping in the truck to deliver treatments when pigs need immediate care, Bill never hesitates to help. His calm reassurance and problem‑solving mindset make even the most challenging situations feel manageable. “Bill never hesitates to help, no matter the time of day or the challenge,” shared Dr. Rachel Stika-Jensen, PVI Managing Swine Veterinarian. “His genuine care for people, pigs, and doing what’s right makes a meaningful difference every single day.”

Despite his tremendous impact, Bill remains humble and focused on serving others. His willingness to step in wherever help is needed eases the burden on farmers and caretakers and improves animal well-being across the board. Bill’s actions remind us that caring is not about recognition, it’s about commitment, compassion, and follow‑through.

Thank you, Bill, for living out Pipestone’s caring value through every selfless action and thoughtful interaction.
