Dr. Adam C. Schelkopf grew up in Dekalb, Illinois and gained an appreciation for swine medicine by following his father to vet calls and working on swine farms through high school and college. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 2012.

Dr. Joseph Yaros

Dr. Joseph Yaros grew up out East with three twin brothers (a twin himself and younger twin brothers) on a 1,000-ewe sheep farm. Caring for livestock and understanding the management of the flock inspired Joseph to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, graduating from Cornell University in 2016.

Rachel grew up in Cresco, IA on her family’s cow-calf farm. There, she helped out on the farm and was involved in organizations like 4-H and FFA. It wasn’t until she attended Iowa State University for her undergraduate degree that she discovered her passion for swine production, health, and management.

Dr. Jeff Blythe

Dr. Jeff Blythe was raised on a crop and livestock farm in Williamsburg, Iowa. He graduated from Central College with a B.A. in Biology. In 1991 he graduated with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. In 1992, Dr. Blythe joined the Orange City Vet Clinic and became a partner in 1994.

Dr. Cara Haden grew up on her family’s farrow-to-finish swine farm in Holland, MI. She earned her B.S. in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 2010, followed by her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2014.

Dr. Joel Nerem, a native of West Union, Iowa, earned his undergraduate degree from Luther College and his DVM from Iowa State University in 1995. He joined Pipestone in 2006 and now serves as Director of Industry Relations, bringing decades of experience in swine health to help strengthen relationships and support producers across the industry.

Dr. Evan Koep grew up on his family’s farm in southwest Minnesota, where he was actively involved in 4-H and FFA. He earned his undergraduate degrees at South Dakota State University before completing his DVM at Iowa State University in 2019.

Dr. Steven P. Feuerbach received his B.S. degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 1987. After completing his undergraduate studies, he continued at Iowa State University where he was awarded his doctoral degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. Dr. Feuerbach is a second generation veterinarian.
