Nikki moved to Haiti at the age of 20, after completing her BA in Human Services at Western Washington University. Nikki and her husband Nick founded New Roots Haiti which aims to empower parents to care for the needs of their families through education, employment and nutrition assistance.

Dr. Joel Nerem

Dr. Joel Nerem joined Pipestone in 2006 and now practices as the Chief Veterinary Officer. The West Union, Iowa, native is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and earned his DVM from Iowa State University in 1995. Joel and his wife Denise and their children Emily, Hannah, and Maren live in Edgerton, MN.
