Dr. Barry Kerkaert

Dr. Barry Kerkaert is a southwest Minnesota native who began his career with Pipestone Veterinary Services after graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Over the past three decades, he has held key leadership roles and now serves as Chairman of the Board for Pipestone Holdings, providing strategic vision and guidance.

A respected swine veterinarian and agricultural business leader, Barry is known for blending on-farm expertise with forward-looking strategies that strengthen the pork industry.

He and his wife, Karen, live near Pipestone, Minnesota, and are proud parents of three children—Hayden, Jenna, and Aubrey— and grandchildren. The Kerkaert family remains active in their local community and South Dakota State University programs.
