PIPESTONE Team Giving Program

Sanford Children’s Hospital Toy Basket Donation

Team members came together and raised over $2,000 for toys to be put into baskets for children staying at the hospital.

For the Children- Royal Family Kids

Team members gathered bikes, scooters, helmets and cash donations to support children in foster care at the first annual Royal Family Kids Camps.

Local School Backpack Program

The Pipestone Warehouse teams (Warehouse Floor, Swine Resource Team and Purchasing Team) created a backpack program for local schools! They were able to help provide school supplies for students attending local Elementary Schools who may be in need for this upcoming school year. 

Deb’s House- Atlas for Life

PIPESTONE team members came together to hold an office rummage sale. Sale items included chairs, desks, filing cabinets, decorations and more! Proceeds of the sale went to Atlas for Life- a non-profit organization that supports community members going through a crisis. 

Ronald McDonald House 

The Big Stone Marketing team hosted a taco bar for all employees with a free will donation. Proceeds of the meal were given to the Ronald McDonald House!

Sanford Pediatric Cancer Research 

The Finance Team encouraged fellow co-workers to walk for a cause! With a goal of 50 miles each in a month, for each mile not reached, a monetary donation was raised for Sanford Pediatric Cancer Research. 

Woodstock Community Club

The Pipestone Warehouse teams (Warehouse Floor, Swine Resource Team and Purchasing Team) created a backpack program for local schools! They were able to help provide school supplies for students attending local Elementary Schools who may be in need for this upcoming school year. 

East Buchanan Christmas Family Adoption

Lynn Schnepf, a Swine Resource team member in Independence, IA, adopted families in need during the holidays. She was able to provide multiple Christmas gifts for families in her community!

Safe Passage- Kid’s Baskets

The PIPESTONE team at Sycamore, Illinois did a toy drive at their office for the Safe Passage. They packed 80 bags for kids ranging from infant to 14 years old. Safe Passage provides a wide range of services to survivors of domestic abuse and their loved ones including shelter, counseling, advocacy and so much more. 

Rock Ranch

The Pipestone Finance team held an ice cream social to help raise funds for the Rock Ranch. The team also went to Rock Ranch and volunteered for the day. Rock Ranch is a charitable organization providing horsemanship training, riding lesson, senior programming and mental health counseling in a natural, Christ-filled setting.

Good Shepard Lutheran Church

Sarah Johnson, Robin Gilbertson, and Ashley Chapman, along with other Sunday school teachers held a free-will offering egg bake brunch after the church’s Christmas program. PIPESTONE donated $100 in support of helping them raise funds for the cost of their curriculum and classroom supplies.

Homeless Backpack Program- Sioux Falls, SD

Molly Peterson, Director of Marketing and Communication, and her family purchased bookbags and materials for those in need in Sioux Falls, SD. Thank you, Peterson family, for thinking of others during this holiday season!

Meals for Farmers

The PIPESTONE Human Resources Team partnered with the local Pipestone Area School FFA program and provided warm meals to the farmers, who are working in the fields this fall. The extra money that was raised went to the Pipestone Area FFA program to help support to local agriculture program.

Pipestone’s Lights at the Lodge

The Pipestone Transport held a car wash fundraiser for PIPESTONE employees. All of the proceeds that were raised went to the City of Pipestone for their annual Lights at the Lodge display. The Lights at the Lodge display is at the Hiawatha Pageant Park to help enhance the beauty of the park during the winter season. Team members from Pipestone Transport also volunteered to supply lights and manpower to help set up for this event.

Pipestone Area Schools’ Winter Clothing Drive

The PIPESTONE Repairs & Maintenance Team held a chili dog and cinnamon roll free will donation meal. All of the proceeds went to the Pipestone Area School for their winter clothes drive for children in the area.

Volunteers in Mercy

The PIPESTONE Information Bureau held a fall soup and sandwich fundraiser with all proceeds going to the local Volunteers in Mercy. Volunteers in Mercy is a faith-based non-profit organization with the purpose of helpings all people in our community meet basic, daily needs. They receive referrals from 40+ agencies, schools, and healthcare centers in responding to the needs of people of all ages. These referrals include crisis situations including health, abuse, job loss, divorce, vehicle repair, to helping seniors with medical co-pays and lift chairs.
