Little Sir Hamalot

adenCongratulations are in order to Aden Kruse, son of Steve and Dena Kruse, who was awarded Little Sir Hamalot at the Delaware County Pork producer banquet.  For years, the Delaware County Pork producers have chosen a boy as “Little Sir Hamalot” and a girl “PigTails” to help get kids involved in pork production and education.  Kids are nominated from members of the board and the winner is chosen by a judge from another county’s pork producer board.

“Aden was so excited about winning Sir Hamalot, he even wanted to sleep with his trophy that night,” said Steve Kruse, proud father of Aden.  At the age of seven, Aden will get to be involved in more community activities this summer than most adults do.  As “Little Sir Hamalot” he will be riding around in parades, passing out ribbons at the Delaware County Fair, and even helping with some pork production education.   It’s a great opportunity for kids to learn about pork production, and to learn the importance of getting involved in the community.
